Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor (11) using a new O-ring. Lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation.

    Tighten:  Tighten the FRT sensor to 13 N.m (10 lb ft).

  3. Connect the FRT electrical connector (3).
  4. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Engine Electrical.
  5. Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings with the J 45878  or an equivalent leak detector. See Special Tools .

  7. Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
