Installation Procedure

  1. Install the new flange gasket
  2. Install the EGR valve.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the valve to flange fasteners.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the fasteners the first time to 10 N.m (89 lb in) each.
    • Tighten the fasteners a final time to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) each.

  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
