Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the power steering pump bracket (7) to the engine block. Install the 2 bolts in order to retain the bracket to the engine block.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  2. Install the 3 bolts in order to retain the power steering pump (3) to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18.5 lb ft).

  3. Install the tensioner and the power steering drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 2.5L.
  4. Install the power steering fluid reservoir (1) to the reservoir bracket (8).
