1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check for the door systems? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems 
2 Try to operate the power windows.
Do the power windows operate correctly?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Disconnect the driver window switch.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the ignition 3 voltage circuit of the driver window switch connector and a ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5 
4 Connect a test lamp between the ignition 3 voltage circuit of the driver window switch connector and the ground circuit of the driver window switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 10 
5 Inspect for a poor connection or open in the ignition 3 voltage circuit of the driver window switch. Refer to the following in Wiring Systems:
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 11  Go to Step 8 
6 Test the lockout signal circuit at the drivers window switch connector for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 11  Go to Step 7 
7 Inspect for poor connections at the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 11  Go to Step 9 
8 Repair the short to ground in the ignition 3 voltage circuit of the driver window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 11  -
9 Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement - Left Front .
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 11  -
10 Repair the poor connection or open in the ground circuit of the driver window switch. Refer to the following in Wiring Systems:
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 11  -
11 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
