Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the battery tray to the vehicle.
  2. Install the battery tray bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery tray bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the battery.
  5. Install the battery hold-down retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery hold-down retainer bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the positive battery cable to the battery with the battery terminal bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  8. Install the battery negative cable to the battery with the battery terminal bolts. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  9. Install the coolant recovery reservoir.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
