Installation Procedure

  1. Install the wiper transmission into the vehicle.
  2. Connect the washer hose to the wiper transmission.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the wiper transmission fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wiper transmission fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39529. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  5. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  6. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
  7. Close the hood.
