Installation Procedure

  1. Route the tail lamp connector (3) and the grommet (2) through the body.

  2. Verify that the grommet (2) is fully seated in the body.
  3. Install the tail lamp (1) to the body.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the nuts (5) that retain the tail lamp (1) to the body.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

  5. Connect the tail lamp connector (3).
  6. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to COMPARTMENT SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  7. Close the rear compartment lid.
