Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood latch support (2).
  2. Install the nuts (3) and the bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts and the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the bolt that retains the power steering cooler to the hood latch support. Refer to POWER STEERING COOLER PIPE/HOSE REPLACEMENT .
  4. Install the ambient temperature sensor. Refer to AIR TEMPERATURE SENSORS .
  5. Install the hood primary latch. Refer to Hood Latch Replacement - Primary .

    Adjust the latch as needed. Refer to Hood Latch Adjustment .
