Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door rear window guide. Refer to WINDOW GUIDE CHANNEL REPLACEMENT - Front Door (Rear) .
  2. Remove the inside handle rod (4) from the door lock and the vehicle.

  3. Unscrew the lock rod knob from the front door locking rod (2).
  4. Remove the lock rod (3) from the outside door handle.
  5. Remove the lock rod (1) from the door lock cylinder.
  6. Disconnect the power door lock actuator electrical connector (5), if equipped.
  7. Remove the following components from the door (3):
    • The 3 screws (4)
    • The bolt (2) if equipped with power door locks
    • The door lock (1) with the following rods attached:
      • The outside handle lock rod
      • The door lock cylinder lock rod
      • The door locking rod

  8. Remove the 3 lock rods from the door lock, if necessary.
