Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Pull up on rear of instrument panel upper trim panel to disengage tabs. Rear of panel is located farthest from windshield. See Fig 1 .
  2. Disconnect instrument panel upper trim panel fasteners by pulling up on fasteners located closest to windshield. See Fig 1 . Remove Daytime Running Light (DRL) sensor and security indicator lamp by rotating sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Remove instrument panel upper trim panel from vehicle.

  3. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) retaining tabs. RCDLR is located behind center instrument panel near windshield defrost vent. See Fig 2 . Disconnect RCDLR electrical connector. Remove RCDLR from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
