Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) harness connector. See Fig 1 . Disconnect wheel cylinder brake pipes from Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). Gently reposition brake pipes to allow removal of BPMV/EBCM.
  2. Remove upper BPMV bracket mounting bolt that connects upper BPMV mounting bracket to lower mounting bracket. Remove BPMV and EBCM as an assembly. Remove EBCM if only replacing BPMV.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
