DTC B2648: Ambient Light Sensor Signal Short To Battery: Description

DTC B2648 indicates that ambient light sensor is shorted to battery. DTC B2648 will set when Automatic Lighting Control (ALC) option is enabled, ignition is on, and ambient light sensor signal is more than 5 volts.

When DTC B2648 is set, headlights are disabled, SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator will illuminate and chime will sound. DTC B2648 can be cleared using scan tool, or history DTC will disappear after 100 ignition cycles if fault conditions do not reoccur.
