Code Enable Criteria

PCM will run diagnostic for this DTC under the following conditions:

• No TP, MAP, MAF, ECT, IAT, CKP sensor, VSS, injector circuit, misfire, idle speed or EGR pintle position DTCs set.
• A/C status does not change.
• Transaxle range does not change.
• TP angle is less than one percent (deceleration).
• Engine coolant temperature is more than 167°F (75°C).
• Engine speed is 950-1300 RPM.
• IAC position is steady.
• MAP steady between 15 and 70 kPa.
• Vehicle speed is more than 35 MPH during deceleration.
• Barometric pressure more than 70 kPa.
• Vehicle will need to be driven at more than 50 mph, and then allowed to decelerate. When vehicle is decelerating while meeting all of the criteria listed above, PCM will enable test to run. As test is running, you will see DESIRED EGR parameter and ACTUAL EGR POSITION on scan tool change from zero to a calibrated value more than zero.

DTC will set when MAP changes monitored during EGR flow test indicate insufficient EGR flow.
