Test E: Passenger Door Unlock Inoperative With Transmitter

  1. If power door lock system check has been performed, go to next step. If power door lock system check has not been performed, perform power door lock system check. See appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS article.
  2. Reprogram all transmitters. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING. Try UNLOCK function again. If UNLOCK function does not work on all doors, go to next step. If UNLOCK function works on all doors after programming, system is okay.
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) 16-pin harness connector. RCDLR is located under right side of rear window trim. Disconnect door lock relay from harness connector. Door lock relay is located under right side of instrument panel. Using DVOM, measure resistance in White wire between RCDLR harness connector terminal "B" and door lock relay connector terminal "F". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step  5 .
  4. Replace RCDLR. After repair, go to next step.
  5. Repair open in White wire between RCDLR and door lock relay.
