Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) (Speedometer Mounted)

VSS is an electronic relay mounted on transaxle. As transaxle rotates VSS, voltage pulses are provided to speedometer. Speedometer converts vehicle speed input into a waveform and provides PCM and cruise control module (if equipped) with its own vehicle speed input. This pulse is converted by PCM and interpreted as vehicle speed.
