Interior Lights Do Not Turn On With Transmitter Unlock/Rear Compartment Lid Release Buttons Function Properly

  1. Open right rear door while observing interior lights. If interior lights illuminate when door is opened, go to next step. If interior lights do not illuminate when door is opened, fault is in illumination system. See ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Using a fused jumper, backprobe remote control door lock receiver connector C1 terminal "S" (Light Blue wire). Close all doors and luggage compartment lid. Once interior lights have turned off, ground fused jumper. If interior light illuminate, go to next step. If interior lights do not illuminate, go to step 4).
  3. Replace remote control door lock receiver. Verify system operation.
  4. Repair open circuit in Light Blue wire between remote control door lock receiver and splice S305. Verify system operation.
