Pulse Delay Operates Incorrectly Or Not At All

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect wiper switch 48-pin connector. Connector is located behind instrument panel, right of steering column. Turn wiper switch to delay position. Connect ohmmeter between Yellow wire and Gray wire at wiper switch connector (switch side of connector). Move wiper switch through entire delay range.
  2. Resistance should vary from about 39-680 k/ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace wiper switch. If resistance is as specified, reconnect wiper switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn wiper switch to delay position. Measure voltage between ground and Gray wire at wiper motor connector. If voltage is zero volts, check for poor connection or open in Gray wire between wiper switch and wiper motor. If battery voltage is present, replace wiper motor cover.
