Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Valve

  1. On 4-cylinder engines, apply a vacuum source to the vacuum supply tube on the top of the vacuum diaphragm. The diaphragm should not leak down and the valve should be in the fully open position at 14 in. Hg.
  2. If the valve does not operate as described, replace EGR valve.
