Expansion Tube

The expansion tube is located in the evaporator inlet. It controls the flow of liquid refrigerant to the evaporator. The expansion tube takes the place of the formerly used expansion valve. The tube has no moving parts and is not adjustable. If it is defective, it must be replaced as a unit.
