Distributor Vacuum Advance Solenoid

This electrically operated 2-position plunger controlled valve serves to supply or deny vacuum to distributor vacuum advance unit. When energized, plunger opens vacuum port from carburetor while simultaneously closing air vent (fresh air) port, allowing normal vacuum advance. When de-energizing, the spring loaded plunger seats against vacuum inlet and opens distributor advance unit to fresh air vent. Solenoid is used in conjunction with TCS system.
