Compressor Isolating

NOTE: Oil level on all compressors except General Motors 6 cyl. type compressor can be checked on the car.

On compressors fitted with stem type service valves (at compressor suction and discharge ports), it will not be necessary to discharge the entire system in order to open compressor for oil checking. See related individual operations for specific procedure. Also refer to Compressor Removal in COMPONENT REPLACEMENT Section  .
