Removal Procedure
- Before removing the old control module, perform the SPS function Prepare Control Module for Removal, if available. Control Module References
- Drain the drive motor battery cooling system. Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling
- Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling

Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Retainer - Right Side (1) - Release [10x]
- Front Compartment Side Sight Shield - Right Side (2) - Remove
Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Retainer (1) - Release [5x]
- Front Compartment Front Sight Shield (2) - Remove
Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Support (2) - Remove
- NOTE:

Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
- Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
Disconnecting high voltage electrical connectors and testing for voltage MUST be performed during the high voltage disabling procedure but, for graphic clarity, the connector(s) are shown still connected.
High Voltage Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect [3x] - High Voltage Connectors

- Engine Wiring Harness (3) - Reposition
- High Voltage Battery Heater Module Protector Bolt (4) - Remove
- High Voltage Battery Heater Module Protector (5) - Remove
- High Voltage Electrical Connector (6) - Disconnect - High Voltage Connectors
Retainer (1) - Remove
- Engine Wiring Harness Conduit Bolt (2) - Remove
- Battery Positive and Negative Cable (3) - Remove

Drive Motor Battery Charger Module Relay Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Charging Disconnect Module Relay (2) - Remove

- Retainer (2) - Remove
- Engine Wiring Harness (3) - Reposition
- Retainer (4) - Disengage [2x]
- High Voltage Battery Heater Module Coolant Hose (5) - Disconnect
- Auxiliary Drive Motor Control Module Cooling Inlet Hose (6) - Disconnect

Drive Motor Power Distribution Control Module High Voltage Connector Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Drive Motor Power Distribution Control Module High Voltage Connector Access Cover (2) - Remove
- Inspect the drive motor power distribution control module high voltage connector access cover gasket (3) and replace the drive motor power distribution control module high voltage connector access cover if necessary.
Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Connector Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Bolt (1) - Remove [17x]
With the aid of an assistant, remove the drive motor power distribution control module (1).
- Inspect the drive motor power inverter module gasket (2) and replace if necessary.
Disconnecting high voltage electrical connectors and testing for voltage MUST be performed during the high voltage disabling procedure but, for graphic clarity, the connector(s) are shown still connected.

The drive motor power distribution control module high voltage connector access cover gasket is not serviceable separately.
