Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Inspect for damage - Brake System Hydraulic Brake System Diagnosis
  3. Test or inspect for the following: Brake Pedal = Binding or Sticking

    Refer to: Brake System Slow Release

  4. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  5. With brake pedal not applied verify the scan tool Actual Brake System Plunger Position is less than 0.5mm (0.019 in).
    • If the scan tool Actual Brake System Plunger Position parameter is 0.5mm (0.019 in) or more. 

      Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder

    • Go to next step: If the scan tool Actual Brake System Plunger Position parameter is less than 0.5mm (0.019 in). 
  6. Verify DTC C128D is not set
    • If DTC C128D is set 

      Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  7. All OK.
