Circuit/System Description

The K9 Body Control Module (BCM) sends the pre - release information to the K107 Drive Motor Control Module (DMCM) via the serial data circuit. The DMCM then sends a challenge to the BCM. Both the DMCM and BCM perform a calculation on this challenge. If the calculated response from the BCM equals the calculation performed by the DMCM, the DMCM will allow vehicle starting.
