Installation Procedure
Rear Gate Module (1) - Install
- Secure the retaining tabs.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel - Left Side (1) - Install
Cargo Tie Down Loop - Left Side (2) - Install [2x]
- If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt - Left Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Connect the electrical connector.
- Ensure the seat belt webbing does not become trapped during installation.
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel - Left Side (3) - Install
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt - Left Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap - Left Side (1) - Install [2x]
Luggage Shade (1) - Install
- Fold the rear seat to the full upward position.
- Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
