Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition On/Vehicle in Service Mode.
    2. NOTE:

    Verify all doors have been commanded UNLOCK with a scan tool prior to commanding the rear compartment lid to unlatch

  2. Verify the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly activates and releases the rear compartment lid when pressing the S46B Liftgate Unlatch Switch.
    • If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly does not release the rear compartment lid 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly does release the rear compartment lid 
  3. Verify the scan tool Liftgate Latch Pawl Switch parameter changes between Open and Closed when opening and closing the rear compartment lid.
    • If the parameter does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the parameter changes 
  4. Verify the scan tool Liftgate Latch Ratchet Switch parameter changes between Open and Closed when opening and closing the rear compartment lid.
    • If the parameter does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the parameter changes 
  5. All OK.
