Removal Procedure
- Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front - Remove
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement - Remove
- Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Supercharger Belt Tensioner Bracket) , or Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Upper) , or Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Lower) - Remove
- Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket fasteners (1) from the engine block.
- Disconnect the oil pump flow control valve connector (1), camshaft position actuator solenoid connector (2), camshaft position sensor connector (3), and the engine wiring harness connector (4).
- Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (LT4) - Remove
- Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket and sensor wiring harness (1).
- Remove the camshaft position sensor (1) from the engine front cover.NOTE:
If reinstalling the original camshaft position sensor, replace seal (2). Always install the NEW seal supplied with the NEW camshaft position sensor.
