Circuit/System Testing
NOTE:
Verify that the B233B Radar Sensor Module-Long Range in the grille is mounted securely and aligned properly before using the following diagnostic procedure.
- Verify that no other DTCs are set, except DTC C1002.
- If any other DTC is set, except DTC C1002
- Go to next step: If only DTC C1002 is set
- Perform the Radar Sensor Module - Long Range Learn procedure.
- Road test the vehicle and verify the adaptive cruise control system functions normally and DTC C1002 does not set. Refer to Active Safety System Description and Operation

- If DTC C1002 sets
- Verify that the B233B Radar Sensor Module-Long Range is mounted securely and aligned properly. Refer to Adaptive Cruise Control Module Replacement
for more information.
- If alignment cannot be achieved within the limits of the currently installed location of the B233B Radar Sensor Module-Long Range, inspect the mounting structures and brackets for damage or tampering and repair as necessary to achieve proper module mounting and alignment.
- Go to next step: If alignment is OK
- Reprogram the K17 Electronic Brake Control Module.
- Road test the vehicle and verify the adaptive cruise control system functions normally and DTC C1002 does not set.
- If DTC C1002 sets
Replace the K17 Electronic Brake Control Module.
- Go to next step: If DTC C1002 does not set.
- If DTC C1002 sets
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If DTC C1002 does not set
- All OK.
