Removal Procedure
- Lower Oil Pan - Remove - Lower Oil Pan Replacement
Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness(1)@Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve(2) - Disconnect
- Securely attach mechanics wire to the end of the oil pump flow control solenoid valve harness (1).
Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness(1)@Retainer(2) - Unclip
Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness(1)@Crankshaft Oil Deflector(2) - Unclip
- Front Compartment Splash Shield- Right Side - Remove - Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement
Engine Wiring Harness(1) - Disconnect
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Bolt(2) - Remove
- Remove the oil pump flow control solenoid valve harness (3) through the engine front cover.
Mechanics wire is used to guide the harness into place during installation, and must be of sufficient length to pass through the engine front cover from inside the oil pan.
Ensure the mechanics wire stays attached to the end of the harness during removal, and remains in place within the engine after harness removal. It will be used to guide the harness into place during installation.
The retaining clips attached to the oil pump flow control solenoid harness are used for initial production only and should be removed and discarded.
