NOTE:
- Hybrid compliant A/C refrigerant recharging equipment GE-50300-A meets SAE refrigerant recovery standard J-2843 and is specially designed for GM hybrid vehicle A/C service
- The high voltage (HV) electric air conditioning (A/C) compressor uses a polyolester (POE) refrigerant oil instead of a polyalkylene glycol (PAG) synthetic refrigerant oil. This is due to the better electrical resistance of the POE oil and its ability to provide HV isolation.
- When servicing vehicles with an electric compressor, first perform the hose flush procedure to clear the unit of residual PAG oil. Failure to perform this procedure will cause contamination of the hybrid system as well as failure of the compressor.
