Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

If you are replacing the battery with a serviced NEW battery, detach the vent plug (1), that comes with the positive post cover.

Install the vent plug (1), opposite side of the battery vent hose (2).

Battery Vent Tube (2)» Engage (2)

Battery Hold Down Retainer (3)» Install
Battery Hold Down Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
Spare Wheel Carrier Bracket (2)» Install

Spare Wheel Stowage Bracket Bolt (1)» Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Battery Positive Cable (3)» Install

Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1)» Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
Battery Positive Post Cover (2)» Install
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Spare Tire (2)» Install
