Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery

  1. Install Battery (1)
    2. Fig 2: Battery Vent Tube And Battery Hold Down Bolt

  2. Engage Battery Vent Tube (2)
  3. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (3)
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  4. Install Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  5. Install Spare Wheel Carrier Bracket (2)
  6. Install Spare Wheel Stowage Bracket Bolt (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  7. Install Battery Positive Cable (3)
  8. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
  9. Install Battery Positive Post Cover (2)
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  11. Install Spare Tire (2)
  12. Hand tighten Spare Tire Stowage Retainer (1)
  13. Install Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Rear Compartment Front Trim Replacement
