Installation Procedure

  1. Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor - Install
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Multifunction Energy Storage Capacitor Fastener - Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  3. Electrical Connector Connect
    4. Fig 2: Ground Cable Nut

  4. Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable - Install
  5. Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable Nut - Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  6. Ground Cable - Install
  7. Ground Cable Nut - Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  8. Protective Cap - Install
  9. Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement -Install
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  12. Perform Stop/Start Capacitor Control State Health Reset. Stop/Start Capacitor Control State of Health Reset
