Installation Procedure
- Install the rear side door outside handle (1) to the door (2).
- Insert the rear side door handle into the door handle pocket.
- Slide the rear side door handle forward securing it into the door handle bracket.
- From inside the door, push outward on the door handle bracket housing counterbalance lever (1) at the same time. Slide the outside door handle toward the lock cylinder then forward engaging the handle to the housing counterbalance.
- Install the screw to the rear side door lock cylinder cover. Refer to Rear Side Door Lock Cylinder Opening Cover Replacement .
Hold the lock cylinder bezel flush to the door sheet and turn the lock cylinder screw to a mechanical hard stop.
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the luminous reflecting light, if equipped.
- Ensure that the door lock system operates properly before installing the trim.
- Install the rear side door water deflector.
- Install the rear side door armrest plate bolts and plate to the inner door panel.
- Install the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Replacement .
NOTE:
The rear side door outside handle cannot be installed until the counter balance (1) and handle is reset.
