Preliminary Procedure Remove the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Replacement .
1	Rear Side Door Locking Rod Procedure Release the locking rod from the retainer. Turn the locking rod down, pull upward and turn releasing it from the latch. NOTE: Ensure that the door lock system operates properly before installing the trim.
