Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2011 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, remove the F103 drive motor generator control module sight shield. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Control Module Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the T6 drive motor generator power inverter module connector X1 and the crankshaft position sensor connector.
  3. Test for less than 5 ohms on the crankshaft position low reference circuit, from connector X1 terminal 35 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, repair the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition ON, test for 4.8-5.2 V on the crankshaft position signal circuit, from the connector X1 terminal 26 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the T6 drive motor generator power inverter control module.
