Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2008 GMC Yukon XL, 2008 GMC Yukon, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: When performing the 10-Minute Vehicle Key Relearn Procedure, all keys not learned at that time will be erased and not be recognized. Perform the Adding Keys procedure on all keys or instruct the customer how to perform the Adding Keys procedure should all keys not be present at the time of repair.
  1. Verify DTC B3055 is not set as current.
    • If DTC B3055 is set as current, refer to DTC B3055 .
  2. Verify the scan tool TDM Learn Coded Key parameter displays Yes.
  3. Perform the 10 Minute Vehicle Key Relearn procedure. Refer to Replacing Keys (Canada)  or Replacing Keys (North America except Canada) . The TDM should exit the learn coded key state and DTC B3031 should clear.
    • If the TDM does not exit the learn coded key state after the programming attempt, replace the TDM.
