Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Sedan,Wagon) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Coupe) . Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement . Remove the radiator fan assembly. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LF1, LLT) or Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LSA) Remove the drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
1	Generator Battery Terminal Nut CAUTION: Refer to. Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
3	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
4	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
5	Fastener Tighten: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
6	Generator Procedure Remove the power steering pressure hose to generator bolt. Disconnect the generator harness connector. Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
