Installation Procedure

If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 6.
Install the ignition coil assembly.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the ignition coil assembly bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the fuel injector sight shield studs.
Tighten: Tighten the studs to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Connect the engine harness electrical connector (4) to the ignition coil assembly.

Install the ignition coil (2), as required.
Install the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Connect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
Install both of the fuel injector sight shields. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
