Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution .
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Replacement .
  3. Remove the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .
  4. Remove the park lock cable from the lock cylinder housing.
  5. Disconnect the passlock and key buzzer from the ignition lock cylinder case.

  6. Remove 3 TORX® screws.
  7. Remove the ignition lock cylinder case from the steering column.
