Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 .
  2. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the center pillar garnish moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the side door opening garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Side Door Opening Frame in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the body side rear trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side Rear in Interior Trim.

  7. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (2) from the harness connector to the inflatable restraint roof rail module (1).
  8. Disconnect the connector (3) from the roof rail module.
  9. Lower the headliner to gain clearance to the roof rail module.
  10. Remove the fasteners from the roof rail module.

  12. Remove the tether from the windshield pillar (1).
  13. Remove the roof rail module from the roof.
