Scan Tool Output Controls

Memory Seat Module (MSM) Scan Tool Output Controls

Scan Tool Output Control Additional Menu Selection(s) Description
Exit 1 Off/On The MSM activates the previously programmed seat directional motors when you select On. The motors should move the seat to the exit position for driver 1 or until you select OFF.
Exit 2 Off/On The MSM activates the previously programmed seat directional motors when you select On. The motors should move the seat to the exit position for driver 2 or until you select OFF.
Front Up/Down Down/Up The MSM activates the seat front vertical motor when you select Up or Down. The motor should tilt the front of the seat in the up or down direction until it reaches it's end of travel.
Lumbar Forward/Rearward Rearward/Forward The MSM activates the lumbar motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should move the lumbar support in the forward or rearward direction until it reaches it's end of travel.
Memory 1 Off/On The MSM activates the previously programmed seat directional motors when you select On. The motors should move the seat to the memory position for driver 1 or until you select OFF.
Memory 2 Off/On The MSM activates the previously programmed seat directional motors when you select On. The motors should move the seat to the memory position for driver 2 or until you select OFF.
Rear Up/Down Down/Up The MSM activates the seat rear vertical motor when you select Up or Down. The motor should tilt the rear of the seat in the up or down direction until it reaches it's end of travel.
Recline Forward/Rearward Rearward/Forward The MSM activates the recline motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should recline the seat back cushion in the forward or rearward direction until it reaches it's end of travel.
Seat Forward/Rearward Rearward/Forward The MSM activates the seat horizontal motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should move the entire seat in the forward or rearward direction until it reaches it's end of travel.
Rear Integration Module (RIM) Scan Tool Output Controls

Scan Tool Output Control Additional Menu Selection(s) Description
Driver Heated Seat Off/On The RIM commands the driver heated seat module to activate the heated seat when you select ON and deactivate when you select OFF. The Driver Heated Seat Status should display On or Off as selected.
Passenger Heated Seat Off/On The RIM commands the passenger heated seat module to activate the heated seat when you select ON and deactivate when you select OFF. The Pass. Heated Seat Status should display On or Off as selected.
Rear Seat Module (RSM) Scan Tool Output Controls

Scan Tool Output Control Additional Menu Selection(s) Description
IMPORTANT: After performing Output Control tests, the folding seat will be in an unknown state and out of calibration with the RSM. Therefore, the RSM must be calibrated before the folding seat system will operate. Refer to Power Folding Seat Calibration .
Horizontal Motor Motor Test The RSM activates the seat horizontal motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should move the entire seat a short distance in the selected direction.
Recline Motor Motor Test The RSM activates the recline motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should recline the seat back cushion a short distance in the selected direction.
Rotation Motor Motor Test The RSM activates the seat back rotation motor when you select Forward or Rearward. The motor should rotate the seat back a short distance in the selected direction.
