Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector on the switch.
  2. Align the brake panel position switch to the stud (3).
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolt (1) securing the brake panel position switch to the brake panel bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the driver side I/P insulator closeout panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Recalibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration Description and Operation .
