Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the retainer screws from the back of the door trim panel.
  3. Remove the upper trim from the door.

  4. Remove the energy absorber from the door panel.
  5. Remove the 4 retaining screws from the rear of the armrest and 1 screw from the forward end of the armrest assembly.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the armrest assembly.

    IMPORTANT: Use care when removing and installing the switch bezel assembly, because the bezel is easily damaged. Prior to removal, apply duct tape to protect the finish.
  7. Remove the front door switch assembly from the pocket in the door trim panel.
  8. Disconnect the door switch electrical connector.

  9. Remove the door switch assemblies from the door switch bezel.
