Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: When removing the power door lock switch, place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the retainer screws from the back of the upper trim panel.
  3. Remove the upper trim from the door.

  5. Remove the inner energy absorber from the door panel.
  6. Remove 4 retaining screws from the rear of the armrest.
  7. Remove 1 retaining screw from the forward end of the armrest assembly.

  9. Disconnect the armrest wire harness and remove the armrest assembly.

    IMPORTANT: Use care when removing the power window switch assembly, because the mirror, the window, and the applique to the door lock switch plate can be easily damaged. Apply duct tape to protect the finish.
  11. Remove the power door lock switch assembly from the pocket in the door trim panel.
  12. Disconnect the wire harness to the power door lock switch.

  14. Remove the power door lock switch from the armrest switch plate applique.
