Removal Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Excessive Force and Oxygen Sensor Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connectors. Note the harness routing and retainers for reassembly.
  3. Remove the right side catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right (LP1, LY7) or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right (LS6) in Engine Exhaust.
  4. Remove the HO2S (1).
