Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
    2. IMPORTANT: Do not disconnect the power steering fluid lines/hoses from the reservoir.
  2. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bolts and reposition the power steering fluid reservoir in order to provide access. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LP1, LY7) or Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LS6) in Power Steering System.

  3. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

  4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor.
