Installation Procedure

  1. Install the accelerator controls pedal assembly (3).
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the accelerator controls pedal assembly nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the accelerator controls pedal assembly nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    3. IMPORTANT: The throttle should operate freely without binding between full closed and wide open throttle.
  3. Install the accelerator controls cable (1) to the pedal (3) pedal.
  4. Install the right closeout/insulator panel replacement. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (LHD) or Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (RHD) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
