Removal Procedure

Place the window in the full up position.
Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE FRONT DOOR .
Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR .
Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).

Disconnect the retainer clip securing the inside door handle cable to the inner door panel.
Disconnect the lock cylinder rod (driver's door only).

Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) from the door latch retainer clip (2).

Remove the lock knob from the rod by twisting counterclockwise the knob.

Remove the three fasteners (4) from the door latch.
Remove the door latch (3) from the door.
