Adjustment Procedure

  1. Place the following components on the bench:
    1. 1.1. The window
    2. 1.2. The run channels
  2. Place the guide blocks on the window. Secure the blocks loosely using guide bolts.
  3. Place the run channels fully into the guide blocks.
  4. Adjust the guide block (4) parallel to the run channel (1). Ensure that the gap is 12 mm (0.5 in) between the edge of the window and the run channel.
  5. Set the guide block (4) to the alignment mark (3) on the guide block retainer.
  6. Tighten the guide blocks.
  7. Remove the following components in order to access the bevel adjusters:
    • The door lower molding
    • The adjuster access plugs

    Refer to Window Adjustment - Door .

  8. Set the front bevel adjustment at midpoint.
  9. Determine the midpoint by performing the one of the following actions:
    • Turn the adjuster approximately 12 full revolutions from the full inward travel stop.
    • Turn the adjuster approximately 12 full revolutions from the full outward travel stop.
  10. Set the rear adjuster full inboard to the end of travel (tips door glass inboard).
  11. Leave the following components off the assembly:
    • The molding
    • The adjuster access plugs
